This is the second video covering sanctions relevant for trade with Venezuela in our series Sanctions 360. In our first video published in September 2025, we provided the overview of the relevant sanctions’ regimes.
Since President Maduro was taken off his office in January 2026, the US Administration provided important relief to its sanctions’ programme against Venezuela. The relief is quite technical and subject to various conditions which compliance has to be carefully considered against each specific transaction.
In this video we summarise this new trend in the US sanctions against Venezuela which would, hopefully, be of assistance for businesses dealing with the country.
