In this issue of our series, Sanctions 360, we summarise the EU 21st sanctions package against Russia which was issued on 23 July 2026.
We summarise the key elements of this package which we trust is of interest for those private persons who continue to deal with Russia and/or Russian persons. The package also relates to Belarus, as the EU (unlike the US) continue to mirror their approach to both countries.
It is also an opportunity for us to reflect on the workability both from legal and practical perspective of the current mechanics for the operation of the EU sanctions.
