This instrument represents an unprecedented level of support ever given by the EU to a third-country (EUR90 bln for two years). It is impressive even if compared with the most important examples of financial support, being the Lend-Lease Act and the Marshall Plan.
We discuss the legal basis and the main financial elements of the Ukraine Support Loan as well as the ways it attempts to promote the EU defence capacity.
