This video of our series Sanctions 360° is dedicated to one of the most controversial and, yet, the oldest and the most comprehensive of existing national sanctions’ regimes – the US embargo of Cuba.
The purpose of the video is to illustrate the point (which many may consider a self-obvious one) that international economic sanctions is often a continuation of war just by other, non-military means. Another purpose is to discuss the recent escalation in anti-Cuban rhetoric of the US executive and the specific measures taken by President Trump in this regard.
