Attached is the resolution. It imposes an asset-freeze for any person involved in terrorism. It further established the Counter-Terrorism Committee to monitor the implementation of the resolution, which requested countries to implement a wide range of counter-terrorism measures following the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001 in the United States. In addition, the Council also established, by resolution 1535 (2004) of 30 January 2004, a Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED) to carry out the policy decisions of the CTC, conduct expert assessments of each Member State and facilitate counter-terrorism technical assistance to countries.
