2024.03.06 – General Court judgement in case T‑258/22 – Byelorussian Steel Works vs Council

Attached is the judgement. It is an authority as to the admissibility of claims challenging general trade restrictions (in the case – trade in steel between EU and Belarus) even when the applicant is not the addressee of the act. The judgement sets out what will need to be proven in such a situation to demonstrate direct and individual concern. In the case the applicant had to prove that: it sold such goods to the EU; contracts were cancelled due to sanctions; no new contracts were signed.
